Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about Wild & Wise leadership development, CliftonStrengths® coaching, and the Performance Canvas framework.

Section 1

About CliftonStrengths®

What is CliftonStrengths®?

CliftonStrengths® is Gallup's scientifically validated assessment that identifies your top natural talents from 34 possible themes. It reveals how you naturally think, work, and lead.

At Wild & Wise, we use CliftonStrengths® as the foundation of Self Intelligence — the first pillar of our Performance Canvas framework. We don't just give you assessment results; we help you turn insights into action through coaching and workshops.

How is CliftonStrengths® different from personality tests like MBTI?

CliftonStrengths® focuses on talents (what you naturally do best), not personality types. It's designed specifically for performance and development, not categorisation.

Key differences:

  • Actionable: Identifies specific ways you can contribute and lead
  • Strengths-based: Focuses on what you do well, not weaknesses
  • Measurable: Helps you track growth in how you apply your talents
  • Team-focused: Creates a shared language for collaboration

MBTI is great for self-awareness. CliftonStrengths® is built for performance improvement.

Do I need to take the CliftonStrengths® assessment before working with Wild & Wise?

We recommend it. CliftonStrengths® provides the foundation for all our coaching and workshop conversations.

If you haven't taken it yet, we'll guide you through the process before your first session. The assessment takes about 30 minutes and gives you immediate results.

Is Wild & Wise certified by Gallup?

Yes. Gerald Ang is a Gallup Certified CliftonStrengths® Coach, one of the world's most trusted certifications for strengths-based development.

This means every engagement is grounded in proven science and Gallup's 50+ years of research on high-performing teams and individuals.

Section 2

About Performance Canvas

What is Performance Canvas?

Performance Canvas is Wild & Wise's proprietary leadership framework. It's how we build sustainable performance across three critical intelligences:

  1. Self Intelligence — How leaders understand themselves (built on CliftonStrengths®)
  2. Relational Intelligence — How leaders build trust and drive performance with others
  3. Enterprise Intelligence — How leaders align people, priorities, and strategy

Performance Canvas isn't a one-size-fits-all programme. It's a flexible system we adapt to your organisation's context and goals.

How is Performance Canvas different from other leadership frameworks?

A: Most leadership frameworks are generic and theoretical. Performance Canvas is:

  • Design-led: Tailored to your context, not templated
  • Strengths-based: Built on CliftonStrengths® as the foundation
  • Practical: Focused on real business challenges, not abstract concepts
  • Systematic: Develops all three intelligences progressively, not just isolated skills

We co-design every engagement with you. No cookie-cutter programmes.

Can Performance Canvas be used for team development?

Absolutely. Performance Canvas was designed for both individual leaders and teams.

For teams, we use it to:

  • Build shared language around strengths
  • Improve collaboration and trust
  • Align individual talents with team goals
  • Develop leaders at all levels systematically

Many of our clients start with a team workshop, then continue with individual coaching for key leaders.

Services & Programmes

What services does Wild & Wise offer?

We offer three ways to work with organisations:

1. Workshops — Half-day or full-day sessions on specific leadership capabilities. Built on CliftonStrengths® and Performance Canvas. Perfect for teams looking to build shared language and immediate insight.

2. Leadership & Business Coaching — One-to-one or group coaching to shift behaviours and drive measurable performance. Using CliftonStrengths® for self-awareness and Performance Canvas for structured development.

3. People Leadership Journeys — Multi-month structured programmes that build capability progressively. Integrates CliftonStrengths® assessments, Performance Canvas principles, and sustained coaching.

Who is Wild & Wise coaching for?

Our coaching is designed for:

  • Senior leaders navigating strategic challenges or transitions
  • Emerging leaders stepping into people leadership roles for the first time
  • High-potential leaders being developed for future roles
  • Teams looking to improve collaboration and performance
  • Entrepreneurs & business owners building sustainable businesses

If you're looking for generic advice or quick fixes, we're not the right fit. Our work is for leaders ready to go deeper and invest in lasting change.

Can you work with my team remotely?

Yes. All Wild & Wise programmes are available virtually or in person.

We've worked with clients across Singapore, Asia Pacific, Europe, and the US, delivering the same quality and engagement whether online or face-to-face.

Our virtual workshops are fully interactive — not webinars or lectures.

Do you work with individuals or only organisations?

Both.

While most of our work is with organisations (team workshops and leadership journeys), we also coach individual leaders, entrepreneurs, and professionals through one-to-one coaching engagements.

What's the difference between a workshop and a coaching programme?

Workshops are focused, one-time sessions designed to build specific capabilities or insights with a group. Great for creating shared language and immediate awareness.

Coaching programmes are ongoing, individualised engagements designed to shift behaviours over time. They include regular sessions, accountability, and deeper exploration of leadership challenges.

Think of workshops as "building awareness." Think of coaching as "driving change."

Many clients start with a workshop, then follow up with coaching for key leaders.

How It Works

How do I get started with Wild & Wise?

Simple:

  1. Book a free 30-minute consultation with Gerald Ang
  2. We'll discuss your goals, challenges, and context
  3. You'll get clarity on whether Wild & Wise is the right fit
  4. If yes, we'll design a proposal tailored to your needs
What happens during the consultation?

It's a conversation, not a sales pitch.

You'll share:

  • What you're trying to achieve
  • The challenges you're facing
  • What you've tried before (and what worked or didn't)

We'll share:

  • How Performance Canvas applies to your context
  • What approach makes sense (workshop, coaching, journey)
  • Clear next steps if you decide to move forward

No pressure. No hard sell. Just clarity.

How quickly will I see results?

It depends on the format.

Workshops: Participants notice shifts immediately — greater self-awareness, clearer team dynamics, stronger shared language.

Coaching: Most clients see measurable behaviour change within 2-3 sessions. Long-term transformation happens over 3-6 months as you apply learnings consistently.

Leadership Journeys: Progressive capability building over 6-12 months. Results compound as leaders practice new behaviours and reinforce them through coaching.

We design for sustainable change, not quick fixes.

Do you provide follow-up support after a workshop?

Yes. We offer:

  • Post-workshop debriefs with leadership teams
  • Optional follow-up coaching for participants
  • Reflection sessions to sustain momentum
  • Additional workshops to deepen specific capabilities

We want your investment to translate into long-term growth, not just a one-day event.

Can I reschedule or cancel a session?

Yes. Individual coaching sessions can be rescheduled up to 24 hours in advance.

For team workshops, we agree on a cancellation policy in the proposal before confirming dates. We aim to be flexible while respecting everyone's time.

Section 5

Pricing & Investment

How much does Wild & Wise coaching cost?

Because every client has unique goals and contexts, we don't use fixed pricing.

Here's how it works:

  1. Book a free consultation to define your goals
  2. We design a proposal (workshop, coaching, or journey format)
  3. You receive a transparent proposal with deliverables, timeline, and investment

Typical formats:

  • Workshops: Half-day or full-day, for teams of 5–30 participants
  • 1:1 Coaching: 3–6 sessions over 2–3 months
  • Leadership Journeys: 6–12 month programmes with workshops + coaching
  • Enterprise Engagements: Quarterly or retainer-based partnerships

Do you offer payment plans or packages?

Yes. For multi-session coaching or long-term programmes, we offer flexible payment structures.

We'll discuss options during the proposal stage based on your budget and needs.

Is there a difference in pricing for virtual vs. in-person?

Not significantly. The value and deliverables are the same whether we work virtually or in person.

For in-person workshops outside Singapore, we may include travel costs in the proposal.

Do you work with corporate budgets or require individual payment?

We work with both.

  • Corporate clients: Invoiced directly to the organisation
  • Individual leaders: Payment via bank transfer or PayNow

We're flexible and will work with your finance team to make the process smooth.

Can I reschedule or cancel a session?

Yes. Individual coaching sessions can be rescheduled up to 24 hours in advance.

For team workshops, we agree on a cancellation policy in the proposal before confirming dates. We aim to be flexible while respecting everyone's time.

Section 6

Logistic

Where is Wild & Wise based?

We're based in Singapore and work with clients across Asia Pacific and globally.

Gerald Ang is Singapore-based and available for in-person workshops in Singapore or regional travel as needed.

What industries do you work with?

We've worked with leaders and teams across:

  • Technology (Spotify, TikTok, Veeva)
  • Luxury & Retail (LVMH, Balenciaga, Birkenstock, Porsche)
  • Financial Services (DBS Bank, NETS)
  • Professional Services (Burson, Cushman & Wakefield)
  • Energy & Infrastructure (ENGIE)
  • Creative Industries (artists, entrepreneurs, agencies)

Our approach is context-specific, not industry-specific. We adapt to your challenges, not generic playbooks.

How long is a typical workshop?

Most workshops are half-day (3-4 hours) or full-day (6-7 hours).

We design the length based on:

  • The topic and depth required
  • The number of participants
  • Your team's schedule and attention span

We prioritise quality over duration. Better to have a sharp 3-hour session than a diluted 8-hour marathon.

Can you customise workshops for our specific challenges?

Absolutely. Every Wild & Wise workshop is co-designed with you.

Before each session, we:

  • Interview key stakeholders
  • Understand your team's context and challenges
  • Tailor the content, examples, and exercises to your reality

We don't do off-the-shelf. We design.

Do you offer virtual workshops?

Yes. All workshops can be delivered virtually with the same level of engagement and interaction.

We use tools like Zoom, Miro, and Mentimeter to keep participants active and involved — not passive listeners.

Virtual doesn't mean less effective. It just means we design differently.

What languages do you conduct workshops in?

All workshops and coaching are conducted in English.

Gerald is bilingual (English and Mandarin) but delivers all professional programmes in English for consistency and clarity.
